Prefer pasting the secret here. You can also pass it once via a URL fragment (#/SECRET); it is removed from the address bar immediately. Do not put secrets in query strings.

Copying the otpauth URI puts the long-lived secret on the clipboard (and any cloud clipboard sync). Prefer scanning the QR code when you can.
